Beth Anne's First Spanking~ A Teaser

My first Book, Bride Two Soon is set for release from Blushing Books one week from today! I'm terrified and so excited! To celebrate, I thought I would share another teaser.

If you've been following so far, you know I write polygamous DD fiction. Bride Two Soon, the first book in my upcoming Love Multiplied series is a story of Ben, a newlywed who finds out that a second woman has named him as her intended husband. Chaos ensues, because his soon to be second wife Beth Anne is his first wife Mollie's best friend!

I'm so excited to share this scene with you!

Ben has been threatning to spank Beth Anne for weeks, even though propriety says that he would not discipline her until they are married. Beth Anne's job and her work schedule has been a point of contention for Ben since their first date. He has set some rules in place for after they are married, but when Beth Anne stays late after work, and is late to their pre-marital counseling session with the bishop, Ben can't let it slide, and decides he must punish her, despite the fact that the wedding is still a week away!

Beth Anne has been intrigued by the thought of being spanked by Ben. She hasn't been able to think of much else since his first threat. But now that it's about to actually happen, she is terrified! She has never been spanked before!

Here's a peek!

Beth Anne had followed Ben’s instructions and was standing in a corner of his office, nose against the wall, hands behind her back, waiting for him.  Her nerves were stretched so tightly that she began to cry the minute she heard him enter, locking the door behind him. She had thought of nothing else for weeks, but now that the moment was actually here, she just wanted to turn and run.

She felt so ridiculous standing in the corner like a naughty child, but also she felt silly because of her reaction to knowing she was about to receive her first spanking as an almost-married woman.  She couldn’t get control of the fear she was feeling, and she knew it was silly, and that there was nothing to be afraid of. The women she knew were spanked every day; her mothers, Ben’s mothers, Mollie’s mothers, Mollie. Around here, submitting to your husband’s discipline was just part of being a married woman. And, Beth Anne was about to join their ranks.

She knew she was being utterly ridiculous, but the fear of the unknown overwhelmed her and she cried out from her spot in the corner.

Suddenly Ben was behind her, turning her around and pulling her against his chest. But she was inconsolable, sobbing loudly into the soft flannel of his shirt.  Ben’s arms rubbed her back as he shushed her, wiping her tears and kissing her on the forehead.

“Beth Anne, honey, shh. What’s wrong? Why are you so upset?  It’s just a spanking, honey. It’s okay, I’m not even mad anymore.”

“It’s just—I never… I’m scared, and it’s so silly, and we’re not even married yet!” she gasped out brokenly between sobs.

Ben took her hand and guided her to the small couch he kept in the corner of his office.  “Honey, it’s okay, slow down, and let’s talk about this. I can’t really understand you right now, and I am not going to spank you when you are this upset.”

She nodded gratefully, and some of her fears began to subside, as she remembered what a patient, loving and generous man her future husband was.

She didn’t speak at first, not quite knowing where to start. She just sat there with tears streaming down her face, knowing that she must look like a horrible mess.

Ben took her hand in his. “Beth Anne, honey, I need you to talk to me. I can’t know what you’re thinking unless you tell me”

Feeling calmer now, Ben’s words gave her the encouragement she needed and her fears came pouring out.  When she got to the part about never having been spanked before Ben’s jaw dropped incredulously. When she got to the part about them not being married yet, and her worries that it was improper to engage in what she saw as a truly intimate act, and being worried about what her father would think, Ben threw back his head and laughed. She frowned at his amusement.

“Beth Anne, I sat in your living room with your father for almost an hour this evening waiting for you to make an appearance. He pretty much gave me his blessing to turn you over my knee and blister your pretty little behind!  He didn’t mention that he had never spanked you as a child, but he obviously trusts me not to do anything improper. So the only question now is, do you trust me?”

Beth Anne knew that she did. She trusted Ben with her whole heart. She nodded.

“Okay then, we are going to sit here together until you are ready for your punishment. I want you to know that you are the one in control here, Beth Anne. This spanking will not happen until you are ready. But make no mistake, whether it’s tonight, or tomorrow night, or a week from now, it will happen. And the longer you wait, the worse it gets, especially if you make me wait until after the wedding. Because, honey, once you’re my wife, your spankings will be on your bare bottom.”

Beth Anne was trembling inside but she nodded her agreement.  “I’m ready,” she whispered and waited for his instruction.

My first Excerpt

I've been wanting to share a blurb and excerpt with you for a while now, but, is blurb writing hard to anyone else? Plus, wouldn't it be cooler if I had the pretty little cover to share too? I'm still waiting for the cover art , but my book releases (if all goes as planned) in 16 days!

So, I figured it was time to start putting some info out there about my book!

For now, I am writing strictly polygamous domestic discipline fiction. I have begun writing a series called Love Multiplied.  The first book in this series, Bride Two Soon should release at the end of the month!

All of my books are set in a fictional polygamous community whose belief is that the women are given a name from God about who their husband is supposed to be.

In the first book, Ben, a newlywed, finds out that another woman has given his name to the bishop as her future husband. But, to his dismay, the woman is Beth Anne, his wife Mollie's life long best friend! Mollie is livid, and even after earning a serious punishment from Ben, declares war on Beth Anne!  Best friends know everything about each other, including how to hit where it hurts! How much will they get away with before Ben figures it out? Will their friendship survive?

Here's a sneak peek!

In this scene, it is the first time the three of them have been together since learning the news that Ben and Beth Anne were to be married.  At Ben's instruction, Mollie has prepared a nice dinner, but she has a few tricks up her sleeve.  Ben has no clue what is going on between the women, and expects things to have returned to normal between them.

Beth Anne perused the offerings on the table. There was a chicken broccoli casserole topped with a golden cracker crust, a beautiful spinach salad with oranges, cranberries, avocados and glazed pecans, and buttery crescent rolls made from scratch.

Mollie had indeed out done herself. The rolls were about the only thing Beth Anne could eat without getting sick or causing herself serious discomfort and unpleasant side effects.

She wasn’t going to let Mollie see her get upset, however. She would have to be careful, and she would most definitely end up looking like a picky eater, but she would do her best to ensure that Mollie didn’t get the satisfaction of her emotions getting the best of her.

She dished herself a generous helping of salad, and a small spoonful of casserole and got to work on her plate, doing what was necessary to make it edible.

First, she carefully picked the pecans out of her salad before adding her dressing. Beth Anne had a mild tree nut allergy, and Mollie was well aware of that fact, but Mollie had been careful. By putting the nuts in a salad where Beth Anne could easily pick them out, she had sent a clear message without the risk of causing irreparable harm. While some people would have a severe allergic reaction just from eating things that had even come in contact with the nuts, Beth Anne would be fine, although she may have to excuse herself to the bathroom to sneak one of the Benadryl tablets she kept in her purse.

The casserole was a creamy concoction of chicken, broccoli and rice topped with a crunchy Ritz cracker topping. It too was carefully chosen and executed to send a clear message. Beth Anne had food sensitivities, and had never been able to eat broccoli without it causing her extreme nausea and excruciating stomach pains. Mollie knew that too.

She pushed the broccoli aside with her fork and began to eat slowly and deliberately, focusing on the conversation around her.

Ben was asking about the wedding, “How many bridesmaids will you have Beth Anne? I counted seven, is that right?”

“Six,” she corrected him. “I have six sisters.”

“I know that. I was counting Mollie. You still want her to be in our wedding, right? I mean, you were in our wedding—I just figured—I mean, it would be nice,” Ben stammered, looking between them uneasily as if he had just realized he had brought up a taboo subject. Men could be so clueless sometimes thought Beth Anne, meeting Mollie’s gaze across the table.

Truthfully, she wasn’t opposed to the idea of having Mollie in her wedding. It was what they had always planned on after all, but one glance at Mollie’s cloudy face showed exactly how she felt about that idea.

Too bad she had just given Beth Anne the perfect leverage to use against her. It was Ben’s wedding too, and if he wanted her in it as a symbol of their commitment as a family, that’s exactly what he would get

Okay, well that's all for today! I hope to have more info and a cover reveal for you soon!

Writing Process Blog Hop

My first blog hop as an author, and not just a reader! FUN! I would like to thank Alisa Easton for nominating me! Alisa writes some hot erotica by the looks of it, and I am so excited to read some of her work as soon as I get a little downtime!

Now, I get to do something I haven't done too much of yet, which is tell you a little bit about myself as a writer, and a little bit about what I am working on.

1) What am I currently working on?

I am currently working on two things:  the edits for my first book titled Bride Two Soon, which is the first book in my upcoming Love Multiplied Series tentatively set for release April 30th!

I am also working on the second book in my Love Multiplied Series, titled The Prodigal Bride.

2) How does my work differ from others of it's genre?
If you can't tell by the titles, both of these books combine two lifestyles I find fascinating. Domestic Discipline , and polygamy. One of these I have personal experience with, the other, not so much. I recently moved to an area where polygamy is very rampant, and I began to research it. That's when my book series was born.

Also, at this point  I am focusing on clean domestic discipline stories. There is no sex in my books. For this series, I will definitely be sticking to that. In other books down the road, who knows?

3) Why do I write what I do?

As I said, I find both of these things fascinating, and when I looked around for stories that combined the two, I found very few. I had some friends that had been encouraging me to get back to writing for a while, so since I couldn't find many of these books to read, I decided to write one!

4) How does my writing process work?

*Groan* I'm so terribly old school. I write everything by hand so that I can write wherever I want. I like to write on my front patio sitting in the sunshine, or sometimes at a local park. If its winter, I hole up in the downstairs guest room and do my writing there. I JUST got my first laptop, so we will see if that changes anything. I highly suspect that it won't.

I prefer to write my book in sequence, although I didn't with the last one.  I feel like writing it out of order made it harder so I probably won't do that again if I can help it.

I cant write without a cup of coffee or a glass of wine, depending on the time of day or where I am at. If I'm stuck, or at a really intense scene, I need chocolate as well. I never write more than 3000 words a day, and 2000 is my average. Sometimes that takes me all day. I started taking gingko biloba in the mornings to see if it would help improve my focus.

So there you have it, all my silly secrets and idiosyncrasies.

Now I get to nominate 2 people. I nominate Megan Michaels and Angela Fatig Check out these lovely ladies blogs on April 14th to read about their writing process!

Release Date and Other Ramblings!

I am excited to announce that I have a tentative release date for my first book, Bride Two Soon.  Bride Two Soon is the first book in my Love Multiplied Series, and is set to be released on April 30th!

I've been feeling really overwhelmed with all of this, and I hope you all forgive me! I want to be a part of this community, and get better about reviews, and helping to promote, and all of that, but the truth is, I have no idea what I am doing!

If there is anything I can do to help any of you that have been so wonderful to me, please let me know! I am availalble for blog hops, and ALL OF THAT GOOD STUFF!

I will be pretty busy this week, as my edits need to be completed, and at the worst possible time, of course, because as I have said before, I recently moved to a new state, and today my bestie is getting here for a week long visit!  I am so excited to see her, and I missed her so much!

As soon as she leaves, I have less than a week before my parents come for a visit, so this is a pretty crazy time for me, but I am so happy people are starting to come visit us in this beautiful new area we have moved to!

Anyway, i know this post is disjointed and short, sorry, but I have to go get ready for this crazy awesome week! I hope you all have a good one!
